Rental conditions

Drivers aged 21 to 75 with a full licence held for at least 1 year (no learner or provisional licences). A$100 deposit online, credited to your rent; the rest and a refundable A$500 bond at pickup.

Who can drive

  • Drivers aged 21 to 75 with a full licence held for at least 1 year (no learner or provisional licences).
  • Overseas licences are accepted, and years held on an overseas licence count towards the minimum; a licence not in English must be carried with an International Driving Permit or an accredited English translation.
  • We check every driver's licence at pickup. If it doesn't meet these rules, we can't hand over the car, and the booking is treated as a no-show.

Rental length and kilometres

  • Each car has its own minimum rental, shown with the car (from 4 weeks to 10 weeks). Rent is charged for your dates: whole weeks at the weekly price, and any other days at the car's extra-day price, never more than a week's price for those days.
  • Unlimited kilometres: no kilometre limit and no charge per kilometre.

What you pay, and when

  • An A$100 deposit is paid online when you book. It is part of your rent, not an extra charge.
  • The rest of the first period's rent and the bond are paid at pickup, at the counter, by card, EFTPOS, cash or bank transfer.
  • Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST. No card surcharge.

Security bond and excess

  • A refundable A$500 security bond is paid at pickup, separate from your rent. We return it within 7 business days of the return, less any charges allowed by the rental terms.
  • The renter's excess is A$2,500 per incident; the rental terms list when it doesn't apply.

Cancelling, no-shows and returning early

  • Cancel 48 hours or more before pickup: everything you paid online is refunded.
  • Cancel less than 48 hours before pickup: we keep A$100 (the deposit).
  • Not collecting the car (a no-show): we keep A$100.
  • Returning the car early: unused days are not refunded.
  • If we have to cancel, everything you paid is refunded.

Pickup, return and extensions

  • Collect and return the car at 238 Nudgee Road, Hendra QLD 4011. Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. Closed Saturday and Sunday.
  • Book at least 24 hours before pickup.
  • You book a car type; the exact car ("or similar") is confirmed before pickup, unless you booked a specific car.
  • Returns more than 30 minutes late are charged as extra rental time at your rental's price.
  • To extend: Ask from your booking at least 24 hours before your return time; closer to it, call us. Our team approves each extension first; then you pay the difference before it takes effect. Extra time is charged at the prices you booked at.

Fuel, tolls, fines and damage

  • Return the car with the fuel level it had at pickup: each eighth of a tank below it is charged at A$15.
  • Tolls are recharged at cost plus A$5 each; fines are recharged or nominated to you, with an A$55 administration fee each.
  • We inspect the car within 48 hours of the return. Any charge is itemised with its evidence, and you have 72 hours to dispute it before it is collected.
