In short
- Rentzy has no airport desk, shuttle or delivery: you collect the car at 238 Nudgee Road, Hendra QLD 4011, a few kilometres from both terminals.
- A taxi or rideshare is the most direct way. Ranks are right outside both terminals, and each terminal has a signed pick-up area for app bookings.[1] The road route runs along Airport Drive, the East-West Arterial Road and Nudgee Road.[8]
- By train, take the Airtrain toward the city, change at Eagle Junction to a Doomben line train and get off at Hendra, two stops on.[5][6] Then it's a walk of about 1.3 km.[9]
- We're open Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. Closed Saturday and Sunday. If you land outside those times, book your pickup for the next open day.
- Returning before a flight: return in opening hours at the time in your booking and allow time to reach the right terminal.
Is there a Rentzy desk at Brisbane Airport?
No. There's no Rentzy desk, shuttle or delivery at the airport. You collect and return the car at 238 Nudgee Road, Hendra QLD 4011, in Brisbane's inner north-east between the airport and the city. Hendra is close to the airport, so a taxi or rideshare is the most direct way to us; the train takes one change and a walk.
Brisbane Airport has two passenger terminals, Domestic and International, about 4 km apart.[2] Check which one your flight uses, because the pick-up points and the way to the Airtrain station differ. The address, a map and our hours are on the Hendra location page, with a short version of this guide under from the airport.
Where do I catch a taxi or rideshare at each terminal?
Taxis run 24/7 from sheltered ranks right outside both terminals, and at peak times kerbside officers help with the queue.[1]
| Terminal | Taxi rank | Pick-up for taxi or rideshare apps |
|---|---|---|
| Domestic | Centrally, in front of the terminal building | On the central road between the taxi rank and the passenger pick-up and drop-off area, either side of the Skywalk. Cross two crossings after leaving the terminal. |
| International | In front of the terminal on the Level 2 Arrivals Road: through the doors and out to the left | From Level 2, exit at the end of the building behind The Coffee Club, then follow the signs down the ramp and along the path. |
At the time of writing (October 2026), Brisbane Airport says a fee of $4.86 is added to fares collected from the airport, for both taxis and app bookings, and that toll road charges are extra and paid by the passenger.[1] Give the driver the full address, 238 Nudgee Road, Hendra QLD 4011.
The road route is short and direct. From the International Terminal, Airport Drive heads south-west to the East-West Arterial Road, which meets Nudgee Road in Hendra; from there it's about 1.4 km along Nudgee Road to us. From the Domestic Terminal the route starts on Moreton Drive and joins Airport Drive. OpenStreetMap's routing puts the whole trip at roughly 5 km from the International Terminal and 7 km from the Domestic Terminal.[8] Your app shows the live route, traffic and price.
Can I get to Hendra by train from the airport?
Yes, with one change. Hendra station is on the Doomben line, and the Airtrain (the Airport line) and the Doomben line both stop at Eagle Junction.
- Find the Airtrain station. At the International Terminal, take the travelator or lift to Level 3 and follow the signs. At the Domestic Terminal, go out the front of the building and across the Skywalk.[1]
- Pay as you board. You can tap on with a go card or a Visa or Mastercard debit or credit card at the gate or validator, and tap off with the same card at the end. Each traveller needs their own card or ticket.[4]
- Ride toward the city and get off at Eagle Junction. Eagle Junction is served by T5 Brisbane Airport trains and T3 Doomben trains.[5]
- Change to a train toward Doomben and ride two stops, through Clayfield to Hendra. On the T3 Doomben timetable it's about five minutes between Eagle Junction and Hendra.[6]
- Walk to us. OpenStreetMap's walking route from Hendra station to 238 Nudgee Road is about 1.3 km, by Zillman Road, Manson Road, Paul Street and Lilley Street.[9] Check the walk in the Translink journey planner on the day, especially with luggage.
Know the timetables before you rely on this. The Airtrain runs every 15 minutes at peak times and every 30 minutes off-peak; on weekdays, trains from the airport run from 5:04am to 10:04pm.[3] Doomben line trains are less frequent: on the weekday timetable we read for this guide, morning trains through Hendra ran every 30 minutes.[6] A missed connection at Eagle Junction can add half an hour, so leave room before your pickup time.
At the time of writing (October 2026), Brisbane Airport lists the adult Airtrain fare to stations other than the Brisbane City stations at $23.80.[1] Fares and offers change; check before you travel.
Is there a bus from the airport to Nudgee Road?
There's one, but it isn't the easy option with luggage. Brisbane City Council's route 590 runs seven days a week from the Skygate Centre in the airport precinct, not from the terminals, so you first have to get from your terminal to Skygate.[1] On Translink's route 590 timetable, the next stop after Ninth Avenue at Skygate is East West Arterial Road at Nudgee Road, Hendra.[7]
That stop is at the airport end of Nudgee Road, so there's still a walk along Nudgee Road to us. Plan the whole trip, including the walking leg, in the Translink journey planner.
What if my flight lands outside your opening hours?
Our hours are: Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. Closed Saturday and Sunday. Also closed: Friday 25 December 2026 (Christmas Day). There are no after-hours pickups or returns, and no key drop. Bookings need at least 24 hours' notice.
- Landing late on a weekday. Pickups end at 5pm. If you won't reach Hendra before then, allowing for baggage, immigration and the trip from the terminal, book your pickup for the next open day instead.
- Landing on a Saturday or Sunday. We're closed, so book your pickup for the next open day and plan another way into the city for the first night.
- International arrivals. Leave extra time for immigration, customs and biosecurity before you head for the taxi rank or the Airtrain.
When you book (or request a car), choose a pickup time you can actually make. Bring the licence you booked with. Overseas licences accepted; a licence not in English needs an International Driving Permit. Our guide to driving in Queensland on an overseas licence explains the rules. What happens at the counter is in our pickup checklist.
How much time should I allow to return the car before a flight?
Return the car to 238 Nudgee Road during opening hours, at the time in your booking, and no later than 5pm. Hand the keys back to us in person, so allow a few minutes at the counter rather than planning to drop the car and run.
- Work backwards from check-in, not from the departure time. Add the airline's check-in and bag-drop cut-off, the trip from Hendra, and a few minutes for the return at the counter.
- Check which terminal you need. If you go to the wrong one, the terminals are about 4 km apart, connected by a free transfer bus and by the Airtrain.[2]
- Book your taxi or rideshare from Hendra in advance at busy times, or check the train times back to Eagle Junction and the Airtrain to the airport.
- Weekend flights. We're closed on Saturday and Sunday, so a weekend flight means returning the car on the last open day before it.
Returning the car early doesn't reduce what you pay for the booked period. Charges are on fees and charges and the rules on rental conditions.
