- The terminal is at 1 Cruise Terminal Drive, Pinkenba (Luggage Point), and isn't served by public transport: a taxi or rideshare, a lift or your own car are the options.[1]
- The taxi rank and the app pick-up zone are about 120 m from the entrance along a covered walkway; anyone collecting a passenger can use the free 2-minute area out front.[1]
- Parking is run by Wilson Parking and must be booked ahead; Car Park 3 has a few drive-up spaces.[2]
- Rentzy's yard at 238 Nudgee Road, Hendra, is about 13 km away by Lomandra Drive and Airport Drive: roughly 20 minutes by road.[3]
- The terminal only opens on days when a ship is in, so check your sailing before you plan the trip.
Where is the Brisbane International Cruise Terminal?
At 1 Cruise Terminal Drive, Pinkenba, also called Luggage Point, at the mouth of the Brisbane River. If your GPS doesn't recognise the address, use Marine Road, which becomes Cruise Terminal Drive. The Port of Brisbane puts it about 15 minutes' drive (12 km) from Brisbane Airport and 30 minutes (21 km) from the CBD, with the Gateway Motorway and Kingsford Smith Drive as the nearest main roads.[1]
It's only open on days when a cruise ship is at berth, so you can't drop bags off the day before or wait there on a non-sailing day.[1][2] The port's cruise ship schedule lists the days.
Is there public transport to the cruise terminal?
No. The Port of Brisbane says the terminal is not currently serviced by public transport, and there's no terminal shuttle to Brisbane Airport or the CBD; passengers make their own arrangements, so check with your cruise line about any transfer it sells.[1][2] There's also no rental car desk at the terminal.[2]
| Option | Where | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Taxi | Dedicated rank about 120 m from the entrance, by an undercover walkway, with two accessible bays.[1] | Black and White Cabs 133 222; 13cabs 13 2227.[1] |
| Taxi or rideshare app | Pick-up and drop-off zone about 120 m from the entrance, also by the undercover walkway.[1] | Book only once you've left the terminal and are ready to be collected.[1] |
| Someone collecting you | The 2-minute pick-up and set-down area in front of the terminal, with two accessible bays.[1] | Driver stays with the car; if the passenger isn't ready and others are waiting, the driver must leave and come back.[1] |
| Your own car | Three Wilson Parking car parks on site.[2] | Book ahead; limited drive-up in Car Park 3 only.[2] |
Vehicles longer than 6.5 m, or towing a trailer, can't use the drop-off loop and go to the Coach and Shuttle Area instead.[1]
How do I get from the cruise terminal to Rentzy in Hendra?
By taxi or rideshare, it's a short trip. OpenStreetMap's routing from the terminal to 238 Nudgee Road, Hendra QLD 4011 is about 13 km and roughly 19 minutes, by Main Beach Road and Main Myrtletown Road through Pinkenba, then Lomandra Drive and Airport Drive to Nudgee Road.[3] It skirts the airport rather than using the motorway.
- Walk the covered path to the taxi rank or app pick-up zone with your bags once you're through the terminal.
- Give the full address: 238 Nudgee Road, Hendra QLD 4011.
- Check our hours first. We're open Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. Closed Saturday and Sunday. Disembarking can take a while, so book a pickup time that leaves room for it.
- Running late off the ship? Call us on 0414 427 760.
The Port of Brisbane doesn't publish disembarkation times: each cruise line sets its own process, and how long it takes varies with every cruise.[2] Your cruise line can give you a rough time.
From the terminal you could also head to Brisbane Airport first, since it's close by, then follow Brisbane Airport to Rentzy in Hendra. Coming from the city instead? See getting to Hendra from the CBD.
Can I park a car at the cruise terminal while I'm away?
Yes, in paid parking run by Wilson Parking. The terminal has over 900 spaces across three car parks, and all parking must be booked in advance. Car Parks 1 and 2 are prepaid only; Car Park 3 also has limited drive-up spaces and hourly rates.[2][1] The port also lists off-site parking operators, noting the list isn't complete.[1]
- Book early for busy sailings, and keep the booking confirmation on your phone.
- Take everything out of the car, especially anything heat can spoil: it may sit in the sun for a week. Clause 13.2 of our terms says we aren't liable for property left in the car.
- Note your car park and row before you walk to the terminal with your luggage.
- Keep the keys with you on the ship, in a zipped bag, rather than hiding them on the car.
Planning to leave a Rentzy car at the port while you sail? Tell us before you go. The rental keeps running while you're away, and under clause 3.3 weekly rent falls due on the same weekday as the rental started, so sort out any payment that falls during the cruise before you leave. More on how rentals work is on rental conditions.

Dropping someone off for a cruise
Use the 2-minute set-down area in front of the terminal. Stay with the car, and unload quickly; there's a baggage drop in the plaza area near the main entrance.[1][2] Don't leave bags unattended: the port treats unattended baggage as a security risk, and there are no storage lockers.[2]
If you're picking someone up, wait until they've told you they're through the terminal before you drive into the set-down area. On a sailing day, leave Hendra with time to spare for the queue into the set-down area.
Ship to plane, or plane to ship
Brisbane Airport is the nearest airport, about 12 km away.[1] Gold Coast Airport is much further; if that's where you're flying, see Gold Coast Airport to Brisbane for how long the trip takes.
If you're collecting a Rentzy car between a flight and a cruise, or after a cruise, plan the day around our opening hours rather than the ship's. Under clause 6.2, the car is returned at the agreed time and place during opening hours.
